Project Overview
AURA Architecture worked on the improvement and extension of a four-storey 1872 property in Kensington to create ten studio apartments aimed at young professionals and executive tenants.
Design & Planning Strategy
Built-in joinery, raised sleeping platforms, mezzanine storage, internal Crittall-style doors and integrated services improve functionality within compact accommodation. Planning permission was secured for a basement-level rear extension adding approximately 300 sq ft.
Development Value & Outcome
The project combines additional floor area with targeted interior interventions, helping the development perform as a premium rental product within a constrained existing building.
