Project Overview
AURA Architecture converted a previously uninhabitable basement undercroft beneath an existing block into two modern two-bedroom apartments.
Design & Planning Strategy
The project required excavation to increase head height, additional window openings to improve natural light and a comprehensive waterproofing strategy incorporating a tanking membrane system.
Development Value & Outcome
Each apartment provides two bedrooms, two bathrooms, modern living space and private parking, with underfloor heating and equipped kitchens. The legacy case study describes more than £100,000 profit from previously unusable space.
