Project Overview
AURA Architecture developed a two-home residential scheme in Surbiton, combining a new-build dwelling with the refurbishment and extension of the existing house.
Design & Planning Strategy
Part of the existing five-bedroom property was removed to create space for the new home, designed to complement the established streetscape while retaining a contemporary architectural identity.
Development Value & Outcome
Solar panels, heat pumps and lower-impact materials form part of the sustainability strategy. Combining new construction with retention and improvement of the existing house increases residential value while limiting unnecessary demolition.
