9 homes | former police station | Greenwich | 2017–2020
Project Overview
Station Apartments reimagines a former red-brick police station in Greenwich as a gated residential development comprising nine homes.
Design & Planning Strategy
Two outbuildings were converted into two-bedroom homes over two levels, while the main police station was adapted to provide seven further apartments through extensions and roof additions, working with the robust existing brick architecture.
Development Value & Outcome
Large-format windows increase daylight while red brick, black timber surrounds and vertical Iroko cladding create a contemporary material palette, demonstrating the potential of redundant civic buildings for distinctive residential reuse.
